The series ‘Time Moving Backwards Meets Time Moving Forward’ emerged from an exploration of the mechanical movement of escalators and their role within the capitalist structures of shopping centres. As these once ubiquitous commodities are on the verge of obsolescence, I am drawn to their potential as archaeological relics - or better yet, fossils.
